May 1-31, 2008 The 31st Atlanta Jazz Festival is a 31-day schedule of events featuring renowned jazz artists. The festival is a program of and is produced by the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs. Downtown Atlanta venues include Woodruff Park, SunTrust Lunch on Broad, Wednesdays in Woodruff, Café Circa, Ray’s in the City, the Georgia Aquarium, Dailey's, City Grill and  the Rialto Center for the Arts. www.atlantafestivals.com

May 3, 2008 Join Hard Rock Cafe Atlanta as they celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Grammy award winning Cuban sensation Albita in concert benefiting AID Atlanta, a non-profit organization providing education and support services for people living with HIV and AIDS. www.hardrock.com

May 4, 2008 Atlanta’s largest Hispanic outdoor family festival, Fiesta Atlanta will take place at Centennial Olympic Park.  Over 30,000 people are expected to attend the first of what has become Atlanta's signature Hispanic event.  Fiesta Atlanta will take place on Cinco de Mayo weekend and will be a day long celebration of Latino culture, music, and food. www.fiestaatlanta.com/about.html

May 15-June 15, 2008 The street level retail windows at Renaissance Walk will come alive in May with video art projecting in the windows along Auburn Avenue. The video, "The Wailers" by Tracey Rose is featured in "Cinema Remixed and Reloaded: Black Women Artists and the Moving Image Since 1970," an exhibition organized by the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art. www.renaissancewalk.com

May 16-18, 2008 The Atlanta Downtown Festival and Tour will feature lofts, condos and other unique living spaces on a tour in Downtown Atlanta. The festival will include live entertainment, an artist market, a beer garden and other activities designed to showcase the vibrancy of Downtown living. The Festival and Tour is produced and managed by Downtown residents who volunteer their time to the event. www.atlantadna.org 

May 17, 2008 The Rialto Center for the Arts concludes its season with the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra with Arturo O’Farrill. The band is made up of 18 prominent soloist from the Latin Jazz scene. The group’s debut album Una Noche Inolvidable received a Grammy nomination in 2006. www.rialtocenter.org

May 29, 2008 Peachtree TV presents Screen on the Green in Centennial Olympic Park with five consecutive Thursday evening films.
