CAP/ADID Initiatives
JSA-McGill Livable Centers Initiative (LCI)

 

IMPLEMENTATION UPDATE: Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID) have been awarded a 2005 Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) Supplementary Study program grant to further analyze the feasibility of converting Baker Street from one-way traffic to two-way traffic. The Baker Street feasibility analysis is underway. Study findings will be finalized in March 2006 >> more


The JSA-McGill Livable Centers Initiative study served as the model for the Imagine Downtown Focus Area visioning studies. The JSA-McGill LCI recommendations will be incorporated into the larger Imagine Downtown initiative. For more information about Imagine Downtown click here.

    Project Concept
    The LCI study will recommend best-practice solutions for integrating existing, proposed, and future development into the corridor’s physical and social infrastructure. The study area is currently dominated by surface parking lots, but is poised to capitalize on and connect burgeoning development surrounding its boundaries in adjacent activity centers. >> more
