to make your promise |
Things you can do to help clean Atlanta’s air:
- Mix it up
- Carpool, vanpool, take transit, telework, bike or walk.
- Combine your trips and errands to reduce driving.
- Brown bag it — eat lunch in instead of driving to get
it.
- Do the little things
- Refuel vehicles after 6 p.m. When filling up, don’t "top
it off."
- Avoid drive-thru lanes. Park your vehicle and walk inside.
- Reduce idling your vehicle. When waiting for someone, give
your car a rest and turn it off.
- Keep your home and office clean
- Think energy efficiency: buy compact fluorescent bulbs and
Energy Star® appliances.
- Remember what your parents always said: turn off the lights
and the computer when not in use.
- Buy electric or rechargeable lawn equipment or ask about cleaner
gasoline equipment.
