Seventy percent of Fulton County's employed residents work within the county (Dept. of Labor), many in Downtown Atlanta. Of the total metro workforce employed in Fulton, 39 percent commute from Fulton neighborhoods. Others commute from the counties of DeKalb (19%), Cobb (14%), Gwinnett (6.5%) and Clayton (5.8%), suggesting that drive times for most Downtown employees fall within the shorter ranges.
