Ammazza Pizza to open on September 24

Ammazza, a new restaurant in the Old Fourth Ward, is set to open Sept. 24. The 5,000-square-foot eatery on Edgewood Avenue will feature Neapolitan-style pizzas and Italian street food-inspired dishes. The concept from brothers Hugh and Jason Connerty — housed in the nearly 100-year-old Geyer and Taylor building just blocks from the historic birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr. — will be open each night for dinner.
