Atlanta Hawks Name New SVP, Chief Revenue Officer

The Atlanta Hawks announced that Sporting Kansas City Executive Vice President – Business Operations Andrew Steinberg has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer for the organization. Beginning in early July, Steinberg will oversee all aspects of revenue generation for the Atlanta Hawks, including ticket sales, suite sales, broadcast partnership sales and corporate partnerships. Steinberg will also have oversight of all sponsorship sales for Philips Arena.

Steinberg joins the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena from Sporting Kansas City where he was Executive Vice President – Business Operations, directing revenue generation, strategic relationships, and corporate partnerships for the MLS team and the venue, LIVESTRONG Sporting Park. Prior to Sporting Kansas City, Steinberg served in various roles with the University of Kansas (KU) Athletics Department most notably as the Associate Athletics Director for Marketing and Revenue Development where he was responsible for enhancing KU’s brand image and strengthening its revenue streams.  Steinberg joined the University of Kansas after serving as an associate with the law firm of Riling, Burkhead & Nitcher in Lawrence, Kansas and working with NIKE in Beaverton, Oregon. He earned bachelor's degrees in Media Arts and Political Science from the University of Arizona in 1996 and received a Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas in 2001, where he also earned a certificate in Media, Law, and Policy.

Steinberg will be relocating to Atlanta with his wife and two children.
