Coming this summer: Downtown Steak Week

May 9,2014

Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) is excited to announce the first-ever Downtown Steak Week from June 9th through June 15th.  Featured restaurants will cook up mouth-watering specialty steak dishes, ranging from porterhouse to Portobello.

Downtown Steak Week is not just for carnivores.  Diners will find creative interpretations of steak dishes that appeal to every taste and budget.  Restaurants participating in Downtown Steak Week include Alma Cocina, BLT Steak, Café 458, Fandangles Restaurant and Bar, Fire of Brazil, Gibney's Pub, Jalapeno Charlie's, Max Lager's Wood Fired Grill and Brewery, McCormick & Schmidt's, Morton’s The Steakhouse, No Mas! Cantina, Ocean Market, Prime Meridian, Ray’s in the City, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Sway, Ted’s Montana Grill, Thrive, Trader Vic’s and Twenty-Two Storys.

"We're thrilled that the restaurants at Hyatt Regency Atlanta will be a part of the first ever Steak Week in Downtown Atlanta," said Peter McMahon, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Atlanta. "So many people are coming to Downtown this year for the great attractions and our sizzling dining scene, and Steak Week is just another reason for people to visit our city."

In addition to enjoying some of Atlanta’s best restaurants, diners will be among the first to have the opportunity to shop at the Downtown Pop-Up Shops.  Opening in June, Downtown’s newest retail options include 14 temporary stores located near and along the Atlanta Streetcar Route.  The shops will be open through August.

“This event provides a great opportunity for Atlanta foodies to experience the wide variety of dining options that are available in the heart of the city,” said A.J. Robinson, President of CAP.  “With more than 300 places to eat and drink, Downtown Atlanta is the place to be for your next meal.”

Downtown Steak Week is sponsored by Creative Loafing, Anheuser Busch and OpenTable.
