Council Member Hall Serves Thanksgiving Dinner to Atlanta Mission Residents

November 20,2012

District 2 Council Member Kwanza Hall will join Teddy Riley & Blackstreet and Shanti Das as they serve Thanksgiving dinner to the residents of the Atlanta Mission.  The dinner, scheduled for the evening before the holiday on Wednesday, November 21, will take place from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. at the Atlanta Mission, 165 Ivan Allen Boulevard.

“We are so grateful to have Teddy Riley & Blackstreet and Shanti Das as partners this Thanksgiving,” said Hall. “From the moment we introduced them to the great work of District 2’s Atlanta Mission, they wanted to bring the holidays inside and show some Atlanta love to the Mission’s clients and staff.’

Donations for the dinner are welcome through the end of the day Tuesday, November 21, and may be dropped off at 156 Mills Street, Atlanta, GA 30313.  Thanks to the generosity of community donors, many of the items needed for the meal are in good supply. Donations of the following are still welcome: cans of green beans, collard greens, potatoes, and sweet potatoes; rolls; and cranberry sauce. Please inform the monitor at the desk in Fuqua Hall that you have a donation and they will call the kitchen staff.  Please indicate that the donation is for the “No Reservations Needed” dinner.

For questions, or to schedule a drop off time, please contact Ivan Rouse at 678-701-8676.
