French American Brasserie Updates Menu

September 6,2011

Downtown Dining District restaurant French American Brasserie has retooled its menu to included lower-priced menu items. While the menu retains the classic French cuisine Downtown's visitors and residents have come to love, diners now have the option for smaller plates, dubbed Brasserie Bites.

In addition to an upgraded menu, FAB owner Fabrice Vergez has made small changes to the restaurant's dining room to appeal to a wider range of customers.

The new menu can be viewed online by clicking here. Vergez tells the Atlanta-Journal Constitution that the changes come on the heels of a weakened economy.

“So many tourists on their way to the [Georgia] Aquarium would poke their heads in the door but not stop because the menu was too expensive,” he said. “This economy isn’t going to change, so we’ve got to adjust.”

Minor adjustments to the dining room include an larger bar area and removal of some of the brass railings to give the room a more casual look.
