New Public Art At Hardy Ivy Park

October 6,2015

The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs is pleased to announce the installation of a new public artwork that will be temporarily displayed at the north end of Hardy Ivy Park in Downtown Atlanta.
The “Bull” artwork was created by local and renowned artist and blacksmith Andrew Crawford who was awarded the opportunity to display his metal sculpture in this highly visible urban environment.

The City of Atlanta has a temporary sculpture pedestal at Hardy Ivy Park that creates a dynamic opportunity to display contemporary artwork

The “Bull” sculpture was created in steel and fabricated locally using digital design techniques combined with traditional blacksmithing techniques. The artwork looks like an anthropomorphic hammer that has a set of longhorns.
This sculpture will be displayed at this location for two years when the city plans to renew its effort to rotate this temporary exhibit and provide a new look for an important urban park.

Hardy Ivy Park is located at Peachtree St. and Baker Street intersection
