New Waffle House Restaurant to Open at Centennial Olympic Park

March 15,2013

Centennial Olympic Park has a new neighbor. Waffle House restaurants’ newest location opens at the corner of Andrew Young International Boulevard and Centennial Olympic Park Drive at 8am on March 25th.

Just across the street from the popular Fountain of Rings, the restaurant will be a convenient dining destination for the park’s visitors. The restaurant will be known as Unit 1996, with the first 100 guests receiving ten dollars in Waffle House gift certificates. An “opening ceremony” celebration will follow at 11am.

“This is a great location for us because of the millions of people who are down there each year who will be exposed to our brand,” says Pat Warner, Waffle House Vice President of Culture.

All Waffle House fans and Downtown visitors are invited to join in for the opening celebration to take a spin on the prize wheel and win Waffle House goodies.

“We are excited to offer the Waffle House experience to a number of great Downtown businesses and the visitors of our great city,” adds Warner. “We hope that the restaurant will become a kind of ‘welcome center’ for Atlanta’s out-of-towners and locals.”
