Paint the Town Blue with GSU!

Georgia State University is the heart of Downtown Atlanta, and GSU Homecoming brings out all the spirit and support that our capital city has to offer.

Homecoming Week events include a Carnival, Parade, Homecoming Coronation and Ball, alumni and family tailgates, and the GSU vs.
South Alabama football game on Saturday, October 22, at 3 p.m.

We’re encouraging local businesses to Paint the Town Blue to make this year’s Homecoming the best ever!

You could be recognized as a top Panther supporter!

How to Paint the Town Blue
Decorate your business to show GSU spirit! Your display:
• Must be in place from October 17 to October 22
• Must be viewable from outside (bonus points will be given for inside decorations)

Examples of decorations include lights, wreaths, cardboard cutouts, dressed mannequins, inflatables, “GSU Homecoming” on marquee, paint on windows, and window displays. You can incorporate GSU, football, or the game against South Alabama.

Make it as festive as possible and be creative!

Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, and GSU spirit during Homecoming Week.

What You Could Win

Blue Winner
• Announcement on Panthervision screen at Homecoming Game
• Two tickets to Homecoming Game on October 22
• Recognition in an ad in The Signal, GSU’s student newspaper (valued at $758)

Pounce Winner
• Announcement on Panthervision screen at Homecoming Game will be given for inside decorations
• Two tickets to Homecoming Game on October 22
