Philips Arena Ranked 3rd Nationally among Venues

Philips Arena has again garnered a top spot among entertainment venues.

The Downtown Atlanta arena, home to the Atlanta Hawks basketball team and numerous concerts, was ranked third in the nation for entertainment venues by industry publication Pollstar magazine.

The ranking is based on attendance figures for concerts and events in 2011 and was released in Pollstar’s January edition.

Some of the acts who played at Philips Arena in 2011 included Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, and Zac Brown Band.

“To rank among the nation’s top three venues is a true testament to the dedication and professionalism of the Philips Arena team and the transformational nature of live entertainment,” said Bob Williams, president of Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena.
