Philips Arena Ranked Among Best

Atlanta’s Philips Arena was ranked the No. 4 concert and events venue in 2009 in Pollstar magazine’s Top 100 Worldwide Arena Venues.

The ranking is based on attendance figures released by the leading industry publication in its Jan. 15 edition. The rankings include attendance for concerts and other shows hosted by Philips Arena from Jan. 1, 2009, to Dec. 31, 2009.

“It’s a timeless honor to be reminded that fans love to come to Philips Arena for live entertainment,” said Philips Arena President Bob Williams, in a statement. "Being consistently ranked among the very best venues for each of our ten years is a tremendous accomplishment for our entire organization. It is very rewarding to know that we have touched the lives of millions of fans through the thousands of events that we have hosted since opening in 1999.”

Philips Arena is home to the NBA's Atlanta Hawks and NHL's Atlanta Thrashers.
