So Close You Can Taste It! Downtown Gets Social with Sips in the City

As summer winds down, the deals heat up with Sips in the City, which invites diners to enjoy weekday specials on small plates, appetizers, cocktails, beer and wine at more than 25 restaurants conveniently located in the heart of the city’s business district.

Launched in 2011 as a seasonal promotion, Sips in the City is back and bigger than ever with more Downtown restaurants offering unique deals. Extended through the rest of the year, Sips in the City is a promotional initiative of Central Atlanta Progress’ Downtown Dining program.

Every weekday from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., there’s something for every taste and budget with Sips in the City. Whether you’re looking for a neighborhood pub or an upscale lounge, Sips in the City has deals perfect for an after-work gathering or an early evening on the town.

“We are delighted to bring Sips in the City back for another year,” said Wilma Sothern, vice president of marketing at Central Atlanta Progress. “Last year the program received a tremendously positive response, and we look forward to showing diners even more of what Downtown has to offer.”

Cantina, Paschal’s Restaurant, Peasant Bistro, Ray’s in the City, ROOM at TWELVE, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Sidebar, STATS, Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View, Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint, Terrace on Peachtree, Thrive and Truva.
