Spring Street Viaduct closes September 2nd; Centennial Olympic Park Drive 2-way Conversion In Place

Crews will begin work on reconstruction of the Spring Street Viaduct in Downtown Atlanta beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2014 (weather permitting).  On that day the viaduct will be closed and all traffic on Spring St. will be detoured to avoid the construction area. This detour will be in place through Fall 2015.

In preparation for the detour, City staff completed the 2-way conversion of Centennial Olympic Park Drive (between Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Walton Street) on August 26.  The 2-way conversion of COP Drive is a necessary part of the viaduct's detour.
