Two state transportation agencies have taken the next step in their ongoing consolidation by moving into a new combined corporate office.

The State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) and Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) have set up shop at the Marquis One building at Peachtree Center in downtown Atlanta. The main reception area is on the 22nd floor.

SRTA oversees the toll lanes being built around metro Atlanta, including sales of the Peach Pass that gives motorists access to those lanes. GRTA runs the Xpress commuter bus system, which operates throughout the metro region.

"SRTA and GRTA have worked diligently over the past year to combine staff and functions so that SRTA can provide services on behalf of both state authorities," said Chris Tomlinson, who serves as executive director of both agencies. "Moving into combined space and integrating Xpress and Peach Pass services allows us to more effectively deliver mobility services to our customers by leveraging the enhanced connections between transit and tolling in Georgia."

As part of the consolidation, SRTA also announced the opening of its first combined Retail Center, a one-stop shop for customers of both Xpress and Peach Pass. The center is also located in the Marquis One building, on the GL level.
