State Bar of Georgia President Patrise Perkins-Hooker Honored During Urban League of Greater Atlanta Celebration of ‘Women of Empowerment’

Patrise M. Perkins-Hooker was among seven recipients honored by the Urban League of Greater Atlanta during its 53rd annual Equal Opportunity Day Dinner held on December 6 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel.

This year’s gala recognized “Women of Empowerment” who have dedicated their lives to positively impacting people thus advancing our communities through their perseverance, leadership, professional accomplishments as well as minority business, economic development, education, journalism & communications and community empowerment skills.

Ms. Perkins-Hooker received this prestigious honor for her continued commitment and dedication in multiple industry sectors such as economic and civic development. She is vice president and general counsel for Atlanta BeltLine Inc. Recently installed as the first African-American and 3rd woman president of the State Bar of Georgia, she’s received numerous recognitions for her unwavering service to the legal profession and the community. The award presentation was made to Perkins-Hooker by Dr. Jabari Simama, president of Georgia Piedmont Technical College.
