Walk There Challenge

The Downtown Atlanta Walk There Challenge is fast approaching! During the month of October the Downtown TMA is encouraging Downtown commuters to lace up their sneakers and hit the streets to walk to promote healthy habits, reduce pollution and become more active. Walk to lunch. Walk your dog. Walk to the mailbox. Just walk! From October 5-31 program participants are asked to log their steps online. Each week the Downtown TMA will randomly reward one lucky stepper with a Downtown-themed prize. At the end of October, the person with the largest step count wins a basket of goodies perfect for a Downtown getaway!

The Downtown TMA is giving away FREE pedometers to Downtown Walk There participants! Pedometer distribution will be held during September in preparation for the October event. Visit our website, www.atlantadowntown.com/get-around/downtown-walk-there-challenge for information on how to register and a list of pedometer distribution dates and times.

Please note: Pedometers are available on a first come, first served basis. Commuters may also participate in the Downtown Atlanta Walk Challenge using their own pedometer. If you will be using your own pedometer please email Crystal Clark at cclark@atlantadowntown.com.
