Westin Peachtree Plaza Names Ron Tarson as General Manager

The Westin Peachtree Plaza is pleased to announce that Ron Tarson has been named general manager for The Westin Peachtree Plaza.  

Tarson most recently served as general manager for The Westin Chicago North Shore. Prior to that, he held general manager positions at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Towers and the Sheraton Colonial Hotel and Golf Club in Wakefield, Mass. Over the years he has held numerous assignments within Starwood in property and corporate level roles including regional director of sales and marketing.   He joined ITT Sheraton/Starwood in 1986 as director of training for the Sheraton St. Louis Hotel.   He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and his Secondary Education Certification from the University of Colorado.  

Designed by John Portman in 1976, The Westin Peachtree Plaza is a 73-story tower, topped by the tri-level, revolving Sun Dial Restaurant Bar & View. At 723 feet, The Westin Peachtree Plaza was Atlanta's tallest building until 1987, when it was surpassed by One Atlantic Center. Today, The Westin Peachtree Plaza is the fifth tallest building in Atlanta and remains the tallest hotel in the Western Hemisphere.
