"I can't wait to welcome visitors to the south Broad Street area as we Brighten Up Broad Street. The storefronts and sidewalks are perfect for restaurants, coffeehouses, and community-oriented nonprofits. With the right mix of commercial tenants and residents, it could be a unique oasis in the middle of Downtown.  Come on down for the fun on September 14 and envision the future with me!"
-Kwanza Hall, District 2 City Councilman

"We look forward to welcoming families as they explore Broad Street, a central corridor in one of Downtown Atlanta's most captivating neighborhoods. This event will showcase some of the unique places you can find only in Downtown - from historic storefronts like Miller's Rexall to one-of-a-kind restaurants like Lunacy Black Market. We are excited to participate in Brighten Up Broad and look forward to seeing more events and economic development in this area of Downtown."
-A.J. Robinson, President of Central Atlanta Progress

"The Department of Public Works is committed to enhancing the city’s quality of life.  We are accountable for a sound infrastructure system which includes our transportation network. The recently repaired sidewalks along south Broad Street are part of a greater effort to promote walkability in City neighborhoods.  The new improved lighting and sidewalks will go a long way towards promoting a thriving downtown experience. We appreciate our partnership with Central Atlanta Progress as we continue to work together to make our Downtown safe and inviting to residents and visitors."
-Richard Mendoza, Commissioner of Public Works, City of Atlanta
