January Streetcar Experience: King Historic District Stop

Each month, we hop off the Streetcar and explore the surrounding area by foot to give you a current listing of what’s happening at our spotlighted stop.

This month, we're highlighting the King Historic District stop, perfect for exploring some of Atlanta's latest hot spots. You can walk to the Atlanta BeltLine, take a photo from the Jackson Street Bridge and visit great local businesses.

Visit the major landmarks of the King Historic District - the National Historic Site visitor center and galleries, the "I Have A Dream" World Peace Rose Garden, the Birth Home, Fire Station No. 6, Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church and The King Center - which are all accessible from this Atlanta Streetcar stop. Explore the very places where King was born, grew up, preached and is buried.
