The eight transportation management associations (TMAs) work together with The Clean Air Campaign to promote commute alternatives in the metro Atlanta region. While The Clean Air Campaign is a regional and increasingly statewide organization, the eight TMAs in the metro Atlanta region focus on areas that contain the region's major clusters of employment.
TMAs specifically are organizations that address the unique transportation needs of specific office markets or corridors. If an area is not accessible, companies relocate and the district suffers. TMAs are the forums for companies to work together on mobility and workforce growth issues that impact all of them.
The Downtown TMA is the TMA for the Downtown office market.
There are eight TMAs in Atlanta and approximately 150 TMAs nationally and internationally. Although TMA services vary in different markets, most include carpool, vanpool, transit, bike, shuttle and infrastructure planning. Clients - or partners - include developers, property managers, companies and individual commuters.
TMAs are public-private coalitions where everyone benefits. Government has a planning partner. Developers create more attractive and accessible facilities. Property managers reduce parking constraints. Employers improve recruitment and retention opportunities. Commuters save money and reduce stress.
For more information on TMAs or the Metro Atlanta TMA Network, contact Sally Haggard, Executive Director, of the Downtown TMA.
