November 21, 2009: Piedmont Avenue, SE between Decatur Street and Martin Luther King Jr Drive will be closed.

State Capitol Rally
The Million Man March will be sponsoring a rally at the State Capitol Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 12:30pm until 2:30pm. Washington street will be temporarily closed between Mitchell Street and Martin L. King Jr. Drive buses in the area (#9, #17, #21, #49, #55, #74 and #97 ) may experience slight delays.


Atlanta Track Club Marathon
When: Thursday, November 26, 2009 beginning at 7 a.m. (until 12 p.m.)
Where: Starting at Turner Field, throughout Atlanta

Race Route: The marathon will start at Turner Field and travel north on Capitol Avenue and continue Piedmont Avenue to Peachtree Street and continue Peachtree Street to the City of Chamblee and return to Turner Field. After turning around in Dekalb County, proceed south on Peachtree Street right Forsyth Street left Mitchell Street right Capitol Avenue continue Hank Aaron Drive where race will terminate.

Note to Commuters: All bus routes traveling along or crossing over Peachtree Street will be affected. Atlanta Police will allow buses to cross Peachtree Street once the roadway is free of runners. Buses operating north of 14th Street will be allowed to use the center lane of Peachtree Street as runners will use the coned off curb lane.

The following bus routes will be rerouted due to the marathon:
Route: #3 Five Points Station rerouted to Garnett Station
Route: #4 Five Points Station rerouted to Garnett Station
Routes: #9 Five Points Station rerouted to Georgia State Station (westside of station)
Route: #13 Five Points Station rerouted to Garnett Station
Route: #16 Five Points Station rerouted to Garnett Station
Route: #21 Five Points Station rerouted to King Memorial Station
Route: #42 Five Points Station rerouted to Garnett Station
Route: #49 Five Points Station rerouted to Garnett Station
Route: #55 Five Points Station rerouted to Garnett Station
Route: #74 Five Points Station rerouted to King Memorial Station
Route:#97 five points station via garnett station to civic center station
Route: #186 Spring & Poplar rerouted to Georgia State Station (westside of station)

Note: Route #110 will not be able to access Art Center Station patrons will be able to board and alighten at the corner of Peachtree Street and 15th Street starting at approximately 9:00am.

When: November 28, 2009, kick off TBD
Where: Bobby Dodd Stadium
Estimated Attendance: over 55,000


Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
When: November 29, 2009, kick off, 7 p.m.
Where: Georgia Dome
Estimated Attendance: 65,000

Dow Live Earth Run for Water The Dow Live Earth Run for Water consists of a series of 6 km run/walks (the average distance many women and children walk every day to secure water) taking place over the course of 24 hours in countries around the world.

Downtown Weekly Walking Tour Get some fresh air and stretch your legs while learning more about Downtown by foot. Complimentary guided tour departs Residence Inn every Tuesday at 5:30 and local places of interest are pointed out along the way.

Heels on Wheels Glide down Peachtree Steet for a night on the town without driving or parking. Wear your finest outfit to show just how easy it can be to ride a bike in Atlanta.
