The Gateway Center is designed to serve as the “gateway” to the community continuum of care that helps individuals move out of homelessness. Volunteers can serve seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Individual or group volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation session, which is held monthly at Gateway Center. Individual and group volunteer opportunities include: chapel services, clothing closet assistance, computer lab supervision, GED tutoring, children’s activities, meal preparation, and painting.
