Atlanta Tech Startup Makes Big Move To Downtown Tower

January 16,2019

A prominent Atlanta tech startup is taking a full floor at a Downtown Atlanta office tower.

Steady has inked a deal for 20K SF at 101 Marietta St., the 665K SF office tower overlooking Centennial Olympic Park and a short walk from the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The company, which began in 2017 and operates an app that allows users to find part-time and flexible work opportunities, signed a six-year deal with the landlord, The Dilweg Cos.

Last year, Steady landed basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal as a backer and raised $9M in Series A funding. CBRE First Vice President Katherine Lynch and JLL Executive Vice President Greg Baxendale brokered the deal.

Steady is the latest leasing success for The Dilweg Cos. at 101 Marietta — formerly known as Centennial Tower — since purchasing it in 2015. Late last year, the Atlanta Hawks signed a 54K SF renewal at the 36-story tower. Dilweg also spent $5M last year to update 101 Marietta St., including a new lobby, a new fitness center and a tenant lounge called “The Hub” that includes a pool table, a kitchen and couches.
