CAP's video The Real Downtown Wins Big at the IABC's 2013 Golden Flame Awards

For its work on The Real Downtown video, Central Atlanta Progress received the top honor from the Atlanta Chapter of The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) at the annual Golden Flame Awards event on November 7th.

The Real Downtown promotional video, showcasing a day in the life of Downtown workers, residents, and students, was among a long list of impressive entries in the category of Audiovisual.  The video was the sole recipient of the Gold Flame Award in its category. 

“The Real Downtown video illustrates why Downtown Atlanta is a great place to do business,” said AJ Robinson, President of CAP.   “Featuring a number of amenities and assets that are unique to Downtown, -- transit options, walkability, arts and entertainment venues and a variety of dining options -- the video is a great promotional tool for us.”

“We are excited to have won the Gold Award,” said Lynn Williamson, Executive Producer of The Real Downtown.  “The video illustrates how Downtown employees, residents, visitors and students interact every day. We walk everywhere, run into friends on the street and we each enjoy the Downtown experience in a different way.  Our daily paths overlap and our combined experiences are what make our big city core feel like a neighborhood we all share.”

IABC is a professional network of about 15,000 business communication professionals in over 80 countries.   IABC holds the Golden Flame Awards annually to recognize those who have clearly demonstrated the role of strategic communication in delivering great business results.
