While it might lack the grandeur of the Candler Hotel, another recently remodeled downtown Atlanta lodge, the Hampton Inn & Suites in a main tourist district is lifting the curtain on recent updates to its historic building.
Changes to the National Register of Historic Places building at 161 Ted Turner Drive mark another instance of hotels across the city undergoing branding redos or aesthetic refreshes.
Other recent examples include the remodeled W hotels in Buckhead and Midtown, the Ritz-Carlton’s rebirth as The Whitley in Buckhead, and the midcentury-themed The American across the street.
