Downtown sushi bar and steakhouse nears opening after long delay

A long-anticipated sushi bar and steakhouse is nearing its opening in downtown Atlanta.

Saito Sushi, Steak and Cocktails will open at 19 Andrew Young International Blvd. "by the end of the year," the restaurant announced. Saito is a partnership among Stephen de Haan and Greg Grant, founders of downtown's Red Phone Booth and Amalfi Pizza, and master sushi chef Saito Saito, who has opened more than 30 restaurants around the world during his hospitality career.

Saito's owners announced plans for the restaurant, which will reside in a redeveloped property called The Department Building, in February 2019. Owners initially expected to open Saito sometime in 2019.\
