Georgia Aquarium's Dolphin Exhibit Hosts Millionth Visitor

June 15,2012

AT&T Dolphin Tales show and gallery this week welcomed its millionth visitor.

Dedicated to inspiring memorable connections between humans and dolphins, AT&T Dolphin Tales strives to create a greater understanding of these magnificent animals and to develop a lasting legacy for the conservation of dolphins and other marine mammals, according to the facility’s website.

“Reaching this milestone is a reflection of the dedication, as well as a compliment to the guest experience that is provided by our staff and volunteers,” David Kimmel, president and chief operating officer of Georgia Aquarium, said in the statement. “Through this memorable and educational experience, Georgia Aquarium seeks to educate audiences on the importance of embracing aquatic animals, motivating viewers to care about their fate and inspiring them to make positive environmental choices.”

The Georgia Aquarium has welcomed more than 16 million guests since the Aquarium’s original November 2005 grand opening.
