‘Live from Woodruff Park’ series kicks off May 1

“Live from Woodruff Park” returns to Downtown’s central greenspace, where a weekly series of concerts will be held on the lawn in partnership with Atlanta Jazz Festival’s 31 Days of Jazz program.

The series begins on Wednesday, May 1, with a concert headlined by Gritz and Jelly Butter and emceed by Camille Russell Love, Executive Director of the City of Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs.

Additional headlining acts in the series include “queen of the blues guitar” Beverly Watkins and beloved Atlanta vocalist Ruby Velle & The Trio.

Live from Woodruff Park is free and open to the community, with food available for purchase, in addition to the many nearby dining options that surround the park. The event series is family-friendly and open to all ages. Picnic baskets, blankets, chairs, and dogs on leashes are welcome. All concerts will run from 5 to 8 p.m.
