Max Lager's Hosts Homebrew Challenge

December 11,2012

Max Lager's is proud to present its first annual Max Lager's Challenge homebrewing contest that gives brewers a chance to showcase their skill in brewing lagers. Max Lager's invites brewers from all over Georgia to submit their best lager style brews and compete to win some great prizes including gift certificates from the local Brew Depot, Max Lager's Wood-Fired Grill & Brewery and the grand prize for Brewer's Choice Award; a trip to the 2013 Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado. Entry forms are available throughout Atlanta, including Ale Yeah! , HopCity, and Brew Depot locations. All lager categories as well as hybrid categories are eligible.

Brewmaster John Roberts, of Max Lager's, thought it appropriate to give Atlanta's homebrewers a chance to express their admiration of the craft. The day will begin in a private session for the judges. By the end of it all, participants and beer enthusiasts alike will have partaken in a three course beer dinner, a "beer stuff" raffle, and several special casks provided by JailHouse Brewing, Terrapin, Wrecking Bar and Max Lager's.

Max Lager's Wood-Fired Grill & Brewery was established in 1998 under Brewed to Serve, Restaurant Group and is Georgia's first independent Brewery Restaurant. Managing partners Alan & Cindy LeBlanc have since then expanded the group with the opening of sister restaurant White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails this past summer. Both are located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta.
