New Mexican Restaurant for 191 Peachtree Tower

The former Il Mulino space Downtown is going Mexican.

Fifth Group Restaurants have signed a lease with Atlanta-based Cousins Properties Inc. for the former Italian restaurant space at the One Ninety One Peachtree tower in Downtown Atlanta.

The new restaurant, which is yet unnamed, is expected to open in the fall.

“This is a very exciting time for our company,” said Robby Kukler, a partner with Fifth Group. “We’ve felt that Atlanta has had room for a bit more of a serious Mexican restaurant and believe that the downtown area, and the One Ninety One building in particular, is the perfect location for us to serve both business diners and visitors in addition to our regular patrons.”

The new chef-driven restaurant is expected to offer authentic Tex-Mex and Mexican-inspired dishes for lunch and dinner, as well as provide catering services to the downtown area.

Ai3 and Bill Peace of Peace Design will design the 5,200-square-foot space, which will have seating for 195.

The restaurant will also have two bar areas with large booths and communal tables. It will also extend into the office building’s atrium.
