Centennial Olympic Park Plans First Ticketed Concert in Decade

April 2,2012

Centennial Olympic Park wants to party this summer.

The Downtown greenspace will host Party in the Park on May 19, featuring performing artists The Flaming Lips, Young the Giant, AWOLNATION and Dawes. It’s the first ticketed concert at the park in a decade, according to an announcement.

“Our goal is to encourage the community to support live entertainment in downtown Atlanta, raise awareness about other park events and to provide financial support for this iconic venue,” Joe Skopitz, assistant general manager for Centennial Olympic Park, said in a statement.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Visit TicketAlternative.com to buy tickets.
