Pizza with a Purpose at Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria

October is National Pizza Month, and Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria is celebrating with a month-long special menu featuring tasty and eclectic pies specially created by some of Atlanta’s premier musicians, athletes and media personalities to raise funds for charity.  CNN’s Holly Firfer, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Jennifer Brett, the Atlanta Falcons’ Mike Peterson, Southern Ground recording artist Sonia Leigh, Jessica Shops’ Jessica Dauler and Witty + Pretty’s Ashley Hesseltine are all on board to cook up some fun while championing worthy causes close to their hearts.

Max’s patrons will be treated to this mouth-watering menu throughout October and, as a bonus, get the chance to support the local community with their order. The price for all pizzas is $19, and $4 from every pizza sold will benefit the non-profit organization designated to it.

Sonia Leigh’s "A little pizza my heart"

A pitch-perfect pizza with prosciutto, mushrooms, artichokes, green peppers and jalapeño.
Benefits: Camp Southern Ground – passion project of GRAMMY-Award winning artist Zac Brown, Camp Southern Ground is a state-of-the-art facility whose programs will serve children ages 7-17 with both typical and special needs.  Elements of the facility will be aligned with the latest innovative therapies and technology for those children affected by neurobehavioral disorders.

A traditional margherita style pizza that’s all the buzz, prepared with Max’s signature coal-oven flair.  
Benefits: The YWCA of Northwest Georgia – a dynamic agency whose work focuses on programs to reduce domestic violence and sexual assault.
