Public Kickoff Meeting for MMPT Mar. 14

March 12,2012

The Georgia Multi-Modal Passenger Terminal (MMPT) will bring together various ground and rail transit services in a centralized Downtown Atlanta location, providing passengers with greater connectivity options to the various transit services that exist today, and will serve as a hub for future transit. On March 14, a public kickoff meeting will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Georgia-Pacific Auditorium at 133 Peachtree Street.

The MMPT project team will introduce the project and provide background on planning efforts surrounding the MMPT, as well as why this process is different. The following keynote speakers will discuss the national trend of transit-oriented development (TOD), the role of public/private partnerships, the relationship of the MMPT to the City of Atlanta and the State, and how this project can help build a stronger Downtown:

  • Jim Richardson, Senior Vice President of Development, Forest City Enterprises. Inc.
  • John McColl, Executive Vice President, Cousins Properties, Inc.
  • Egbert Perry, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Integral Group, LLC
