You splurged on Thanksgiving and hit the mall on Black Friday — now’s the time to get out, get active, and get to know your city through the local businesses that help make our communities thrive.
The Old Fourth Ward Business Association is partnering with Sweet Auburn Works, the Atlanta Streetcar, Relay Bike Share and Scavenger Hunt Atlanta on November 26, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, for American Express’ Shop Small event.
More than 20 businesses are participating in our action-packed Shop Small Scavenger Hunt. The fun-filled adventure will take you through the historic Sweet Auburn District, Downtown Atlanta, and the Old Fourth Ward; all areas are easily accessible via the Atlanta Streetcar, Relay Bike Share and by foot. This event highlights the small businesses that are mainstays of these iconic intown neighborhoods.
The hunt starts at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site and will lead you through the Sweet Auburn District to Downtown Atlanta via the Atlanta Streetcar. You can then choose to walk or use a Relay Bike Share bike to continue the hunt through the Old Fourth Ward to Ponce City Market.
Throughout the hunt, participants will solve clues, engage with small business owners, and get a history lesson or two about some of Downtown’s most culturally rich districts.
“We are excited to collaborate with our community partners to showcase the amazing businesses in these neighborhoods,” said Jennifer Ohme, Executive Director of the Old Fourth Ward Business Association. “We think this is a great opportunity for locals in the area to not only support local entrepreneurs, but to explore and connect to their city.”

Prize presentation: City Winery located at Ponce City Market 4PM. Must be present to win!
We encourage you to hunt and then eat, drink and shop small until the prize presentation.
Registration:
Teams of 1-4: $20
11:00AM or 1:30PM hunts available
Prize Presentation at City Winery @ 4PM (Ponce City Market) - must be present to win!
Limited to 50 teams
Participants will receive:
FREE fare to ride the Atlanta Streetcar the day of the hunt
A discount code for bike rental from Relay Bike Share
A discount code for LYFT ride(s)
PRIZES from local businesses, including Ponce City Market, Old 4th Distillery and more!
