STATS Honored by Meeting Professionals International

STATS, a restaurant developed and operated by Legacy and its affiliates, received a significant honor at the Phoenix Awards held at the Loews Atlanta Hotel. The sports bar concept was awarded ‘runner-up’ for Venue of the Year by the Georgia chapter of Meeting Professionals International (GaMPI). The Georgia World Congress Center won the first place prize. The Phoenix Awards is GaMPI’s signature awards gala and dinner. The evening attracts over 500 attendees from all over the Southeast composed primarily of corporate meeting planners.

“In 2009, STATS set out to become the most unique venue in Downtown Atlanta,” said Josh Zimmer, Director of Sales for STATS. “Our efforts were quickly recognized by GaMPI and the restaurant was nominated as Event Venue of the Year. With a photo finish to the GWCC, it was a great honor to have earned second place. This is the first step to what is sure to be a prosperous future for the hospitality industry in the Luckie Marietta District.”

STATS, conceived by Legacy Property Group in 2006, is a highly designed facility within an historic structure that includes a broadcast studio for Sports Radio 790 The Zone, five separate bar facilities, Downtown’s coolest roof deck and significant private function capabilities.
