The Ellis Hotel awarded Condé Nast Traveler

Readers’ Choice Award for #1 Hotel in Atlanta for 2017

Of 40 hotels in the southern U.S., Atlanta boutique hotel recognized as being Best Hotel in Atlanta for 2017

October 17, 2017– Condé Nast Traveler today announced the results of its 30th annual Readers’ Choice Awards, with The Ellis Hotel recognized as the number one Best Hotel in Atlanta and the 11th best hotel in the South.

Of the Atlanta-based hotels nominated for the Reader’s Choice Award, The Ellis Hotel is the sole independent, boutique hotel to earn this prestigious award in Atlanta, successfully competing with large multinational hotel groups. The Ellis Hotel is also only one of eight hotels to be recognized across the state (joining The Ritz-Carlton Buckhead, The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta, St. Regis, and Mandarin Oriental). As a small, independent hotel, The Ellis Hotel’s high staff-to-guest ratio allows it to remain engaged with its guests on a personal level.

Over 300,000 readers submitted millions of ratings and tens of thousands of comments, voting on a record-breaking 7,320 hotels and resorts, 610 cities, 225 islands, 468 cruise ships, 158 airlines, and 195 airports.

“We are thrilled to be recognized worldwide by Condé Nast Traveler’s readers as the number one hotel in Atlanta,” said Tom LaVaccare, director of sales and marketing at The Ellis Hotel. “We join an elite group of hotels and resorts maintaining a standard of service excellence in providing travelers with authentic, luxurious and memorable experiences.”

Beyond offering its guests a truly unique and authentically Atlanta experience, The Ellis Hotel also caters to travelers’ unique wishes via its Women’s Only Floor, a private-access floor featuring luxurious accommodations, including L’Occitane toiletries, Fresh Air Floor, ideal for people with allergies or asthma, Pet Friendly Floor and Wellness Room, the ultimate wellness experience featuring purified air, purified water and magnetic amenities.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.” Under Editor in Chief Pilar Guzmán, the Readers’ Choice Awards have become more selective and specific to the passions that inspire today’s travelers.

The Readers’ Choice Awards are announced annually in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler, on newsstands nationwide. The full list is published exclusively online, at www.CNTraveler.com/rca.
