’Tis the Season to Be Downtown

Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District feature another holiday season of festivity and celebration in the heart of Atlanta with the annual ’Tis the Season to Be Downtown campaign. The program showcases the attractions, entertainment venues, activities and dining establishments that make Downtown Atlanta a beacon of cheer throughout the season.

Providing Metro Atlanta residents and visitors alike with a wide variety of holiday happenings, ’Tis the Season to Be Downtown promotes the traditions – both new and old – that celebrate the spirit of the season. From outdoor ice-skating and enjoying the glistening lights and festive decorations lining Downtown’s historic district, to taking in a holiday theater production and ringing in the New Year at one of the area’s luxury hotels, the seasonal promotion features an array of experiences for everyone to enjoy.

Both during the holidays and throughout the year Atlanta’s city center has a rich culinary culture. ’Tis the Season to Be Downtown highlights the Downtown Dining establishments that will be open on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, many of which have prepared specialty crafted holiday menus and dishes for the occasion. ’Tis the Season to Be Downtown lasts from November 21, 2015 through January 1, 2016 in Downtown Atlanta, easily accessed via MARTA, city streets, major highways and the new Atlanta Streetcar.
