November 24,2008

The Transit Planning Board invites you to participate in a transit research survey about how transit technologies might "fit" in and around the Atlanta region.  This project is funded through a grant provided by the Urban Land Institute (http://www.uli.org/).  To participate in this survey, please click on the following link:

The survey will be used to:

  • Help educate citizens to make informed decisions regarding transit.
  • Help planners design better transit solutions based on citizen input.
  • Help the Transit Planning Board as they continue to work towards creating a regional transit system for metro Atlanta.

About the Transit Planning Board:
The Transit Planning Board (TPB) was created by a joint resolution of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA), the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) and the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) to develop a comprehensive vision for transit for the Atlanta region including advocating for new and dedicated funding to support transit. The TPB Board of Directors includes the County Chairs from the 11 counties in the region, the Mayor of Atlanta, three appointees from the Governor, the Board Chairs from GDOT, GRTA, MARTA and the MARTA General Manager.  For additional information about the Transit Planning Board and the regional transit vision for metro Atlanta, please see our website, http://www.tpb.ga.gov/.
