UPS to Launch My Choice Service

CAP member United Parcel Service Inc. has announced a new service called “UPS My Choice,” which will offer two levels of membership to make sure customers get packages even if not at home. The service starts Oct. 3. UPS My Choice members will get phone, e-mail or text alerts notifying them a day before package arrival and get a four-hour window for the delivery. They also will have the option to authorize electronically the release of packages needing a signature. For a $5 transaction fee, they can reroute a package to another delivery address or have it delivered to the nearest The UPS Store.
