Volunteer at Centennial Olympic Park

May 6,2011

The Park is always on the lookout for volunteers.  Opportunities abound and there is quite a variety to suit all tastes.  You can volunteer at the information desk in the Park’s Visitor Center.  In this position, you greet guests and visitors to the Park from all over the world.  You answer questions, provide information about the Park and other attractions in downtown Atlanta, and sell Park merchandise.  You are given an information packet and receive training during an orientation and shadowing experiences.  The hours to volunteer are flexible and are available every day of the year.

If you would rather be outside soaking up some Atlanta sun while helping visitors at the Park, we have a number of events in which you can put your talents to use.  Our Fourth Saturday Family Fun Day events are always a lot of fun for volunteers.  You can help children make crafts; lead and supervise chess games (with large-scale chess pieces and game board); and help vendors with their interactive displays.  More opportunities are available during our Fourth of July Celebration as well.

If you are seeking a rewarding opportunity where you can have fun while helping others, visit the Park’s website at www.centennialpark.com and click on “Friends of the Park.”  There, you can sign up for volunteer opportunities, or you can contact the Park’s Visitor Center & Volunteer Coordinator, Jennifer Tinker, at (404)223-4093 or jtinker@centennialpark.com
