Woodruff Park Welcomes Spring and Launches April Program Schedule

All are invited to enjoy Downtown’s lush greenspace and free amenities

ATLANTA (March 27, 2019)Woodruff Park comes alive this spring, resuming its calendar of free community events, in addition to year-round amenities and activations all can enjoy.

The park’s longest-running program, vinyasa yoga classes by the Water Wall, will return on April 6 and continue every Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m., weather permitting, through November.

Additionally, thanks to a partnership with the Fulton County Library System, the “Library on the Lawn” pop-up activation will return to the north end of the park on April 1 and operate Monday through Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Library on the Lawn tent is equipped with mobile hot spots, providing park users with free access to laptops and digital library resources.

Woodruff Park will also continue to host the popular “Atlanta from the Ashes” Downtown history tour, which begins at the park’s ATL structural playground at noon the first Thursday and third Saturday of each month.

On any day of the week, park users can take advantage of Woodruff’s free WiFi service—thanks to 100 Peachtree and Georgia’s Own Credit Union—as well as lunchtime café seating and umbrellas in the Reading Room and a kiosk of recreation supplies in the Game Zone.

The park will soon announce additional spring and summer programs.
