Atlanta's Downtown Festival Returns This Weekend

November 07, 2022

The Downtown Festival and Tour of Lofts will return this weekend after a ten-year hiatus. The free event takes place Saturday and Sunday at Underground Atlanta and will feature local live music, vendors, food and drinks, and a “kids zone.” Doors open at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12th, and at noon on Sunday, November 13th. Everyone is invited to mingle with the Downtown community at this family-friendly celebration.

In addition to the festival, the Downtown Tour of Lofts will take place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This tour is a unique opportunity to view a full range of residential properties including condominiums, lofts, apartments, sites under construction, and even penthouse residencies. Attendees will see both traditional and more eccentric residencies throughout Downtown. Tickets are available for $25 each for the Saturday and Sunday tours.

Presented by the Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association, the Downtown Festival began in May 2002 in the Fairlie-Poplar neighborhood of Downtown before moving locations in the following years. The festival has previously been held in Woodruff Park, at Marietta and Broad Streets, and on Porter Place at West Peachtree. With Lalani Ventures’ revitalization of Underground Atlanta, the venue is a fitting location for the beloved festival to make its return. Sponsors for the Downtown Festival include Underground Atlanta and Lalani Ventures, Atlanta Brewing Company, the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, CIM Group and Centennial Yards, Newport RE, AmericasMart, and Digital Realty. Learn more and purchase tickets for the Downtown Tour of Lofts at DowntownFestival.org.

Happening this weekend as well is the Indie Craft Experience’s Holiday Shopping Spectacular at the Georgia Freight Depot, making it a perfect time to visit Atlanta’s city center and make a day of the attractions and events.

See y’all Downtown this weekend!
