Delta Volunteers Seed Native Plants Downtown

The Native Plant Initiative has been in full swing this summer.

On May 27th, seed sponsor, Delta had volunteers visit Hardy Ivy Park to fill it with native plants as part of the second phase of our Hardy Ivy Revitalization project.

The soggy weather was no match for the Delta staff's cheery disposition, and after a wonderful breakfast provided by White Oak Atlanta, every single volunteer got their hands dirty.

Compost Now generously donated 10 cubic yards of compost, enabling the native plants to thrive in rich soil.

The team worked together while Chelsea Szegidewicz performed music, and Mocha Pops handed out frozen treats.

The park already looks beautiful, but we can't wait to see how much better it gets with time.
