The Municipal Market (Sweet Auburn Curb Market)

Founded in 1918 as an open-air market, The Municipal Market opened the doors to its new building in 1924. The MARTA Market (MMs) is a pop-up farm stand that takes place in seven MARTA public transport stations. The goal is simple: help farmers sell more produce while getting healthy, fresh food into places where people already are! MARTA’s goal is for MMs to be a primary retail component of all future transit-oriented developments, demonstrating long-term commitment to supporting a local food economy.
