May 2025
Meaningful change starts with committed people.
I'm excited to share that the ADID Supportive Services team is sporting a new look this season (cues runway music). The team typically shies away from the spotlight, but these regal purple uniforms make them much easier to spot when doing outreach across the 220 blocks of the Downtown Improvement District.

The ADID Supportive Services team uses a trauma-informed approach to connect people experiencing homelessness to the support they need. Tracked supportive services include shelter/interim housing placement, transportation assistance, resource referral, and overall case management. This team works so hard that they needed a uniform that could work just as hard, and we're thrilled with their new look. While it may seem like an unusual hue to some, I chose purple because it is non-authoritative, approachable, and calming. Maybe ADID will be the trendsetters, and other cities will adopt the color. We'd love to see it!
Andre McDaniel, A'Sheana White, Lamar Perry, and Rodney Wolfe look fantastic in their new uniforms. If you see them on the street, give them a wave or some words of encouragement. They're not just making a difference, they're changing lives daily, and we couldn't be prouder.

Another ADID area of operation we are proud of is the clean team.
Last month, the team helped with the Lift Up Downtown Service Project at Five Points Farm and picked up trash along Ted Turner Drive. Our team picked up fifty-one bags of wet clothing that had been scattered all over the streets due to our unhoused neighbors not having anywhere to store the items.
Meaningful change starts with committed people, and our team is dedicated to keeping Downtown clean, safe, and served.

Our latest Here to Help brochure was printed in our new supportive services purple. Please save this document to share, and please let us know if any information is incorrect. We want to keep it as up-to-date as possible.
