The Auburn Avenue Research Library, in collaboration with Manga African Dance and the Fulton County Arts Council, will host the 21st Annual Osun Festival Community Forum. This event will examine Ifa traditional practices and culture, dispelling common misconceptions about this indigenous African belief system. Featuring a panel of practitioners and cultural archivists, this dialogue will also examine the cause and implications of Ifa’s global resurgence in the Black Diaspora. Every year, the Osun-Osgogbo festival is celebrated in August just outside the city of Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. Yearly, the festival attracts thousands of Osun worshippers, spectators, and tourists from all walks of life. Manga African Dance is a non-profit organization with a mission to preserve, present and teach indigenous African cultural arts through dance, drums, fashion, drama, songs and more.
