HBCU STUDENT BOGO OFFER: To celebrate Black History Month throughout the month of February, the Hall is offering BOGO (buy one get one free) admission to all HBCU students. Just say “HBCUBOGO” at the box office anytime during February. Must show valid student ID.

SPEAKER SERIES: To celebrate African American players and coaches during Black History Month 2019, the Hall is hosting a two-part speaker series honoring one Hall of Fame player and one Hall of Fame coach who forever impacted the game: Gene Washington from Michigan State University and Eddie Robinson from Grambling University. Both events are FREE and open to the public.

  • GENE WASHINGTON EVENT: On Wednesday, Feb. 6, the Hall will host a screening of Gene Washington’s documentary, Through the Banks of the Red Cedar, produced by his daughter, Maya Washington. Immediately following the screening, the Hall will host a Q&A with Gene and Maya Washington.

  • EDDIE ROBINSON EVENT: On Monday, Feb. 18, the Hall will host a speaker panel featuring speakers who knew Eddie personally or who were affected by his impact on the sport. Eddie’s 100th birthday commemoration will take place in Grambling the week prior.

TEMPORARY DISPLAY: The Hall will have temporary display cases with college football artifacts that celebrate Black History Month, and one of the cases will feature Eddie Robinson artifacts. For more information, visit cfbhall.com.
